Merryspring's president, Meg Barclay, notes that Merryspring is a privately held nature and education center with 66 acres of formal gardens, meadows and woodlands which has been open without charge to the public for 35 years. ....The free invitation to enjoy this jewel of nature is made possible by the many members, generous supporters and businesses who share the idea of preserving the land and providing natural history and horticultural education to the midcoast area and beyond.
